Most of my days are bad, otherwise there are flat; neither good nor bad. I kid you not. I don't remember one happy day in my life, including my graduation days. I didn't feel proud of myself. I've felt everything was an obligation for me in this life imposed on me by others and society by large.
I think nobody has "a lot" of happy or proud moments - but I think those moments are meant to push us forward and keep us striving. It's like a roller coaster ride - when you go uphill, it's long and terrifying because you know the drop on the other end - but then you go downhill and its a short lived exhilerating rush of emotions, then you are back to going uphill again... So yes, the happy moments are shorter lived, but those are the ones that push us on ..
