I'm not sure exactly how your conversation went with you and your Psychologist and your exact situation. But, it's surprising that she would say that. DID is a difficult thing to comprehend and it is very complex. It is understandable how a lot of people with it may feel like they are making it up, be in denial about it, or not even be aware that they have it. I know there are a lot of myths about DID and most people have judgments about it. It's difficult all the stigmas about mental illness. It is especially difficult with the ones caused from trauma. It definitely can be very isolating.
