There's another common denominator for low testosterone and cardiovascular issues that are "so common among men as the get older (and I don't mean 90!)."

One reason for low testosterone is a large percentage of men (35+ years of age) are on cholesterol-lowering statin drugs which inhibit the production of cholesterol, the base material for testosterone production, lowering the synthesis and level of testosterone (see Figure 7 of this scholarly article at The Dangers of Cholesterol-lowering Agents like Statins or Garcinia Cambogia Extract: Diabetes & Low T). Statin drugs are also linked to Erectile Dysfunction (among many other serious issues) because they feed the production of arterial calcification (see Figure 8 in the article above).

Statins cause tremendous harm but provide a tiny benefit, if at all.
