i cannot take antidepressants. They give me edema, swelled feet and legs and make me sick, do nothing good for me. If I am extremely nervous and/or cannot sleep I will take half a milligram of alprazolam. i have tried buspar and it was worthless to me. I hate to take this stuff so I do not do it very often, only if it is a kind of emergency. If I took a lot of it, I am afraid it would give me dementia. I take a natural sleep med. made of melatonin and parts of flowers.
