I just wanted to ask is it appropriate for someone to tell a suicidal person to go ahead and do it and they are not really going to do it? To say bye and I'll see you at your funeral. Or to tell their partner to hang up the phone and just let them do it? Apparently this what some told me their doctor told them. I personally don't agree with this all. If anything it would make me feel even worse. Also these statements were told me by a so called friend when I was tempted to commit suicide at one point.
