Now, I know this is hard but try very hard not to determine this is going to be something this hard the rest of your life. You don't want to keep telling yourself this is going to be a forever challenge. As hard as it is, acknowledge it, "yes that happened, but it's not "now" I am alive and I am safe and I am ok". It's amazing how much that can help and how much power that can take out of a flashback, be it in sleep or wake time.
