If she doesn't want to take the exact antipsychotics that she's been prescribed; there are ones that have visibly less side effects as your body adjusts to them - less weight gain, less soggy feeling etc until you barely notice you're taking them.

It's worthwhile her speaking to her treating doctor about alternatives.
