i'm not going to comment whether it can or not. but regardless, are you doing everything you can with your diet - your other post indicated that you may not have a diet with much fiber - lots of fruit and veg and wholegrain cereals, prunes, the good old bran for breakfast

there is also no 'normal' number of times you have to poo per week. as long as your poo is soft and you don't need to strain; but obviously if you have discomfort and strain to push out hard poos, that isn't good (hope you don't mind me being a bit more graphic, but I thought it might help you realise that everyone poo's and it is not something to be embarrassed to talk about - just remember your doctor farts and wipes his butt just like you do.
