OMG! YES!!!
When I was in a PHP program in 2015 I met a few other girls with a bp diagnosis. We all got along well and kept in touch after discharge, but then their manic behavior drove me crazy, I just couldn't deal with their behavior. It was really frustrating. I just cut off the friendships. I stay more towards the depressed side anyway, so I just couldn't understand or put up with it.
