I have been slowly taking off the weight from so many different meds and hospitalizations too. I've been counting calories and measuring servings, making healthier choices, and getting 10,000+ steps in a day. It's not always cardio, but at my level, the steps are enough. I've lost 10lbs in the month of April.

I've also gotten into the habit of consistently drinking lots of water throughout the day to make myself feel full.

Even if I eat at a fast food place, I could those calories as part of my daily intake and adjust other things accordingly, like a light salad for dinner or extra exercise that day to make up for it.

The old basic mantra of calories in versus calories out has always been the way that works for me. I tried Weight Watchers, I tried other systems, just counting works the best for me.
