I wonder why the urgent care doctor refused to administer one to me when I asked him to. I sent a message to my doctor who will return next week, and asked her to administer one to me at my next appointment with her which I was able to schedule next week. I can't get in to see a gastroenterologist until August, which is too long to wait for a saline enema. If I could administer it to myself safely, I would.

I am not a fan of taking anything OTC. I thought about activated charcoal. But, I don't trust OTC products as the ones I have tried have caused allergic reactions so far. I'm really hoping I can get that enema, to at least soften up what's stuck inside.

Since its chronic, I assume I'll have to overhaul my lifestyle, diet, and exercise routine to prevent another back-up like this from happening again. I'm super freaked out about it because if I can't get that stuff out, the consequences aren't good.
