I'm sorry things are so hard for you right now. It must be terribly difficult not to be able to move on from the past, since as you put it, the present keeps intruding. And feeling like you're surrounded all the time by the same old problems is really hard.

Pride is tough. You need some of it to carry you through life, but too much can get in the way.

Just take care of yourself, and try to take it one day at a time.
