From what you say it could just be a mild dose (whereas the other time you had it was really severe), the fact the colour is darkening suggests possibility of older blood, as long as that clears up in the next few days it should be okay.

Take out food is always a bit risky, there are so many variables - keeping food at right temperature being the main one that tends to go awry.
