Sabby,
My prayers are with your husband & his family (& definitely with you). It is hard when you can't be there to give the support you so much have inside to give.
I am glad that you had a chance to meet her when you were there 2 years ago so that you have a memory of who & what kind of woman she was. Those memories are always wonderful to hold onto.
I remember the summer when I was pregnant with my daughter......my husband & I drove from California to Michigan to see some of his family....especially his grandmother who was in a nursing home. I hadn't told anyone about my being pregnant, but she gave me a clown doll for a future child.......My daughter got that doll knowing is was from her great-grandma she never got a chance to know.
Meeting family & getting to know them (even with a language barrier) is a wonderful memory for future time of sharing & rememberance later on in life.
No matter how strong we are, loosing a family member is not easy, so my prayers are with your husband for strength & peace,
Debbie
