My issue does not revolve around my schedule or general stresses but literally the daytime. The summer heat alone is quite intolerable by itself, but the sheer intensity of the sunlight around this time of the year puts quite the damper on my mood. Lately I have been remaining up until approximately five to six 6 in the morning merely to avoid the daytime and sleeping in until around one to two in the afternoon, and my curtains usually remain closed to block out the extra light. For the most part, I am not tired until I am exposed to the heat or intense sunlight, but when I am, I become exhausted. This has happened multiple times in the past, regardless of my sleep schedule or eating habits. Starting mid autumn, the intensity of the sunlight does not pose an issue, but from late spring to early autumn, I cannot travel about anywhere without experiencing the excess heat and sunlight. Today alone is at 97 Fahrenheit, and that is not even including the humidity levels. Honestly, I am not sure which is worse-- the heat itself or the length of the days. I quite miss the four PM evening sunsets of winter, where now it merely sets at eight o'clock or later. It is rather a shame that the only consistent global season is near that of the equator: hot, humid, and sunny. Furthermore, we never receive snow where I live, and thunderstorms are scarce, both of which are my two favored weather variants. I would desire nothing more than to move out already and somewhere far North or with generally cooler and dimmer weather, but I must suffer through another three years minimum of college before I have this opportunity.

How do people actually stand this weather, much less enjoy it? The summer always seems so forlorn and aloof, but not in an admirable way. Whether I attend summer activities or not, my mood remains the same.
