Hi everyone
I'm new here and my names Mike, I recently joined this forum because I now know that the way my mom treats/ has treated me in the past is considered abusive but it occurred to me until now because she kept telling me this is all families are here and whatnot. Some examples of things that she does are: gas-lighting (she loves to do this a lot), making me feel like a burden, purposely provokes me and say rude things then when I get mad and try to defend myself I get to,d I'm "rude". The worst thing she's done recently is refuse to pay for me to go to eating disorder treatment but she'll buy expensive things on Amazon (just bought $356 of stuff recently) but alas, it's her money and even though I'm her child and can't pay for treatment myself cause I'm unemployed it's totally fine. Unfortunately because I'm a bit developmentally delayed and my life skills aren't up to par yet, I'm stuck with her for the time... so if anyone has any advice to deal with her craziness please do tell
Oh I forgot to mention, last week she basically caused me to have a breakdown even though I told her before she came home to be easy on me, then laughed at me while I was in distress and sobbing... (sounds like daddyofive, am I right)
