I hear *thump, thump, thimp* music which drives me to want to drink sometimes .....the kind of music that makes windows rattle and it cuts through to my soul and is just such an ugly, terrible sound that I can't imagine anyone is listening to it for fun but I do believe they are. With the noises from the crowds, the problem arises when my brain decides it can make out those distant conversation and I hear them discussing me. That is no fun at all. My inlaws live in the country and I recently tried to convince my husband that we needed to sell all our belongings and buy an RV to put on his parents land to live. We wouldn't have all the sirens and neighbors and noises and the noises recently made me ape chit. My husband politely told me no way, that he liked his stuff and didn't want to live in a tin can.
I live in the suburbs (right next to country farms, etc.). It's reasonably quiet. (And very dark.)
I have very sensitive hearing, too, Elsa.
I lived in the city for awhile and my nervous system could not take it. My hearing is too sensitive and I have too much C-PTSD.
I love the country!
