I have very sensitive hearing, too, Elsa.
I lived in the city for awhile and my nervous system could not take it. My hearing is too sensitive and I have too much C-PTSD.

Im so glad you get to live in the peaceful, less noisey countryside. I dont live in a big city but it's big enough to terrorize me when I'm unwell. I'm told I also have PTSD and think my sensitive hearing is a result or at least a complication of the matter. I feel my husband and I should really consider moving to a less populated and chaotic environment in the future. I think it's vital. Thank you for sharing your experience with having done so....it's encouraging. (((Hugs)))
