Not saying this is the answer for everyone but more therapy (self reflection) and less psych drugs might help. Some drugs (gabapentin, xanax, alcohol, pot) can numb or help you avoid emotions. It is only temporary with occassional use but if you use daily the effect lasts. Daily alcohol use can also make you more depressed. Also, we numb ourselves when we do not want to face painful emotions or have not dealt with a trauma....
