I have recently begun therapy again and want desperately to move forward with my life and finally begin to heal. I wonder if it's truly possible to overcome PTSD.
Just saying hello.
Thanks.

I'm not sure it's anything you ever overcome, because the root of it is memories. Though I do think it's possible to manage better, to control the thoughts instead of them controlling you. But as Reba said it's a lot of hard work and it will be continuous work. Identifying what tools help you get to that comfortable place will be the key. That's where a good therapist will come in. Not all therapist are good in this field so if you don't feel like this therapist is giving you these tools, first talk to them about it, then if it doesn't get better find another therapist. Pete Walkers books and website are great tools, also like to watch the KatiMorton.com videos.
We are glad you are here and glad you are moving in a positive direction to find your healing journey.
