True, but it is some weird innate nature for me to use all the exclamation points. I don't know why. Also capital letters for emphasizing instead of italics or bold. Probably because I am too lazy to stop and highlight and press the little button. The life of a first-worlder is so difficult. (See right then I wanted to put a roll-eye emoji because I feel like it helps emphasize my point).

For me, I find the written word can be taken in so many various ways, and if I add a smiley to a text that possibly could be taken in a negative tone, then the recipient will understand I was joking, or not trying to be mean. Something like that.
