As far as the thinking goes--Pema says just notice the thought, label it thinking, and let it go. When the next thought comes up do the same, and so on and so forth.
We all have thoughts that come up and appear. But that's what meditation is--letting the thoughts just sort drift through and always coming back to the breath.
