Have you checked into whether there might be other options for treatment out there? I'm on Medicare too but the place I've been going for many years longer than I've had Medicare has a sliding scale that isn't much different than a 20% copay would be elsewhere. Also it is a Christian place and I know some people are sponsored by their churches to get low rates.

I also had a place in grad school (also a Christian counseling place) that gave me a bunch of free sessions. I can't remember now but I think they were per year although I didn't go back after the first year.

Of course if you don't want to leave your therapist that's really understandable. I can't imagine leaving mine or even cutting back a bit although right now we probably could do that.

I think the right thing to do will show itself but I know it's really hard to wait for that to happen.
