I am a firm believer in integrity and character and part of that for me is honesty. Dishonesty really bothers me. Having said that, 'brutal' honesty (just the facts mam) is not my style either. A lie by omission is also a lie in my book. Like the previous poster, I believe white lies keep the peace. What would you say to a child who shows you a special drawing that's not attractive? Are you honest as you interpret it and cause a psychological scar? What if your best friend asks if he/she is unattractive? Am I making any sense? I believe in honesty very much but I will tell a white lie so as not to wound.

I don't know if being able to read minds would be a good thing or not. It certainly would create chaos.
