I've struggled with my laptop's WiFi spontaneously dropping, and it got very frustrating indeed. It all really started after we switched over to Google Fiber. I looked up numerous fixes and tried them all with no luck.
I tried the console command "winsock" fix, I've tried reinstalling both my graphic's card and wireless card to get the latest drivers, I even adjusted the wireless card's setting per yet another fix to see if it was a frequency problem.
Nothing has worked. So, out of sheer desperation, I'm doing a complete reset of my laptop. I'm doing an advanced reset so it's taking quite a while. Hopefully, that will be it.
Now, I've noticed that in my search for a fix, that Windows Troubleshooter said my laptop couldn't identify the proxy settings. Maybe that is a clue? Either way, I'm hoping this reset is the fix that'll work.
