I once cracked a tooth and had to have a root canal. I think I was 13 or so when I had it done? Jaw was very sore for a few days afterwards (it felt like I did an intense workout with my jaw!), but the tooth pain was all gone, so it was well worth it. I kept getting toothaches/earaches/headaches prior to the root canal.
