maybe you can ask inside to see who if anyone has had the job, purpose reasons for being created all these years to prevent the actual suicide attempts...

short version with DID each persons system is set up in what ever ways they needed in order to survive. that means in systems where suicide is a part of life so is an alter that will prevent it from happening. maybe you can locate the one who has been handling these suicide attempts since very early childhood. maybe you can ask them to continue to do their job, purpose reason for being created and ask them if there is a way that you can help ease their burden of watching for and preventing suicide/ death of everyone.

example I had an alter who's job it was to self injure and suicide. there was no changing this because thats who and what that alter was, it was their sense of agency. but another alter would since before our body age of 5 take control to ensure our survival from abuse, self injury and suicide.
