UPDATE #2: I searched around online and found a Lenovo forum that had threads which talked about my issue. One of the possible fixes a lot of members on there recommended was to roll back the drivers to previous ones because the updates Microsoft puts out don't necessarily mesh well with the hardware a lot of the time. So, I went to Lenovo's site and downloaded and installed the most recent WiFi drivers I could find for my model of laptop.

So far so good....(knock on wood).
