Hello Arya: Well I'm certainly no expert with regard to any of this.

But it does sound to me as though this could be related to PTSD. Depression & anxiety certainly can raise havoc with a person. And if one is not sleeping, this just makes everything all that much more difficult.
It's always a good idea, in situations such as this, to get checked out medically just in case. However, if nothing comes of that, then I think you would have to presume this is all most likely related to your husband's service. And, in that case, one source of additional help & support could be the Veterans Crisis Line.
