I'm going to get my more inspirational tattoo first, in case I chicken out before the artist starts the second one. I'm so stoked, though, I think adrenaline will carry me through it if nothing else. I have anxiety issues but am on medication for it (and medications for other things) so I don't think that will be a factor. It's nice to know it's not too painful. I've read different things. I really should stop Googling stuff!
I've picked out my two designs (not tiny tats, but not really big ones either, maybe medium-sized) and gotten my 25 yo daughter's approval (she's jealous...wants tattoos, but no money yet..but plenty of plans for when she has some!). Made the appointment for Thursday.
Anyone want to divulge what the process is for getting a tattoo? Do you meet with the artist to discuss it, maybe allow him/her some artistic freedom, or what? What will happen when I get there?

In my case I usually meet with my artist once ahead of the day.
Then I email him stuff that may be similar to what I want.
Then he comes up with a sketch and the day of the appointment we may
make some changes but you will be surprised how close they come to
what you want. Sometimes they even nail it on the first try.
