YOu are certainly not a failure at all and don't take what teenagers say or do seriously. You can't or you won't survive. I helped raise my stepson from age 13 to 18 when he lied and stole money from us. Then left up North to go back home to his mother who had kicked him out in the first place. Now he's married with a son of his own and we are working on rebuilding our relationship again. It's never too late to work things out.

You do matter and I'm sure you are a wonderful mother.
