I've done better on Abilify. Actually, even Risperidone was nicer to me than Seroquel. It also raises a question, probably one you might want to think about asking your doctors: do you need a full dose tranquilizer, all the time, for your problems? I'm doing better now on fewer drugs, including far less tranquilizer. Turns out...Abilify wasn't as terrible as the other neuroleptics I'd tried, but now that I've tapered so much...I see that it was still creating problems, mental as well as physical. awesome.
Hope things get better for you.

Thank you. At one point, Risperidone was mentioned to me by my pdoc....but I do not remember why she didn't move forward with that recommendation. I have noticed if I go a night without Seroquel, I toss and turn without any sleep at all. It is terrible. However, I really don't like the idea of having to take Seroquel due to reading all the bad side effects...not just short-term, but long-term too. When I was on higher dose Seroquel, my hands started to get twitchy. Luckily that went away. Abilify didn't work for me unfortunately.
I'm hoping there's something milder yet effective my pdoc can find for me. Sleep is a really huge problem for me and always has been.
