I have this problem too, I find eating little and often helps. Things like soup are good when when chewing feels like too much. I find things taste like cardboard in my mouth, so really tasty flavours definitely help when everything seems bland. I found porridge quite easy to eat, it would take me a while and was usually going cold before I finished it, but could add fruit or honey or chocolate to it to make it nicer and I found having a good breakfast like that really helped me through the day.
