hi. im glad vyvanse is working so well for you and covering so many bases. i seem to recall reading that amphetamines can sometimes have a beneficial effect on anxiety, in some people. antipsychotics--major tranquilizers--block dopamine. these drugs are sometimes used for anxiety, but they can also make anxiety a lot worse in some people. so...yes, amphetamines can help anxiety. my guess would be that its secondary to brightening your mood.

anyway, some people take periodic breaks from stimulants so they don't require dosage increases. other people stabilize at a certain dose. i had a friend with very bad add/adhd, and his doctor would only go up to 40mgs/adderall, but added other things to it to get the effect he needed over the long haul.
