Whose job is it to determine a diagnosis? It's the job of the attending physician. Of course the patient has a right to question it, and of course the doctors aren't always right. That being said, with the information in this thread as given by the OP, there's nothing to go on. When it's the patient's word against the doctors, the doctor wins. Other doctors may have other diagnoses, but until that's determined you're stuck with the one you've got.

Psychiatrists have MDs, not PhDs.....well, most of them; there are some who also have a PhD. Big difference. But if they're prescribing meds, they have an MD. Or NP. Or PA.
