I've had good ones and meh ones. The CBT was very helpful. I had one that seemed to just want to chat, often about herself, it was weird.
The best one I did for a year with a mindfulness therapist. Seriously healing and taught me so much about myself, and useful tools to deal with life and myself.
It's up to you, it's important you feel comfortable with the T. So please don't get discouraged if you get one who doesn't mesh, keep looking. Therapy can be so amazing.
