candy, I'm not in any way excusing this guy so please don't take what I'm about to say that way. But his job is to defend his client and discrediting the witness is a standard part of that. It sucks, and it's why I could never do that job, but it's what this guy is supposed to do.
Sounds like the judge was pretty good though and I'm glad the jackass is going to court.
