Hi guys, I don't have a bipolar or depression dx (I'm anxious) but I get irritated for goodly periods sometimes. Make sure something else, even something small hasn't gone wrong earlier that you're taking out on everything that comes next? Too, we like and dislike certain things and if we're stressed we can blow up incidents, like the line, Sam, into something harder to deal with than normal. I don't like driving in heavy, stop-and-go traffic but don't mind it as much if I'm not driving; things like that.
I was struggling this morning with our household accounts I'm learning from my husband and took major offense with his calling my feelings about something "stupid". It is a little thing and I guess lots of people would feel it's stupid but because of my general mood underneath it got blown out of proportion.
I get angry when I'm sad, Sam. I think the anger mobilizes me and gets me out of stuck places. And stuck to me sometimes means frustrating and frustration can make me very irritable. There's nothing "wrong" with that though.
Be gentle with yourself ouch, Colleen, and Sam!
