Something else to consider is Amtrak (if you're close enough to a station). It's not sketchy and is typically less than a plane ticket.
I live close enough to DC that H and I usually go 3-4 times a year for events or the museums.

Yea, the rep said the Arlington campus was near the DC side. Just looked at Amtrack to get an estimate of prices, they look more than the plane tickets I was looking at, but the extra cost may be worth it, since I am not too keen on flying...I hate planes. Then again costs could change by the time I am needing to get tickets.

Nearest Amtrck to me is in Orlando, about an hour away, not too bad.
