i think id be more concern on why he did it in the first place. is he neutered? Im assuming so if you have 3 cats (or else 2 of them would be dead by now lol). I had a cat that did this to me once. He had separation anxiety. In my old apartment it was me and 2 roommates and we all 3 had cats. Then when I moved out it was just me and him. He went crazy from not having playmates all day long so I gave him to my mom who has another cat so that he wouldn't be bored all day. Are the other cats nice to him and loving or are they mean? Are they around the same age?

Just be happy it wasnt the carpet lol cant put carpet in a washer! If he isn't neutered then he is probably spraying. But if he is neutered then I would look at the setup he is in when you go to bed. He might want out of the bedroom, into the room etc... Or try getting one of those dangly toys with feathers on the end or a laser light and have him chase the hell out of it. Really wear him out right before you go to bed and maybe he wont be so bored when youre asleep.
