I'm surprised by the above average score for schizoid. I wonder if the fact that I work in a helping profession and need down time for myself at night affected the outcome. I'm certainly NOT "detached from social relationships, and shows a narrow range of emotional expression in various social settings"
The high OCD score is no surprise. We laugh at work about my "OCD tendencies."I have a job that requires I be organized and meet lots of deadlines. Add to that I have a condition that affects my working and short term memory. I am ultra-organized in my work life to compensate.
Am also a bit surprised at the very low score on borderline. Usually people with an abuse background like mine score high in this area.

I think I sorted out the reason for the higher than average score for schizoid. After poking around the website some more they say that people with schizoid PD tend to focus on work and intellectual activities. I'm certain NOT emotionally distant from people, but I do have a scientific bent. Doesn't mean I don't like people. It means I also like know what makes things work. I'm a curious cuss.
