Ouch! Yes, freaking out cats are not fun, even when they're your own :-) When we first got our second cat we didn't have two carriers so one would be in the carrier and I'd have the other on my lap in the car to go to the vet's. However, I carried the carrier cat :-) to the car and my husband had to hold the "new" cat against his chest with one hand while he locked the house door with the other. Cat decided it wanted "down" so he had to really squeeze it tightly against his chest, etc. We got in the car and his chest was bleeding. And he's a strong male cat; they haven't been to the vets in a couple years because we have trouble catching them now; our new house doesn't have doors and they have made "nests" under the couches where they can crawl and we can't get them, LOL. I'm just glad they're relatively young and healthy.
