My take away from the article was sometimes people do hear voices but it's not considered full blown schizophrenia. And some people may have schizophrenia but learn to manage it. It made me think of the movie "A beautiful mind" where an individual who was genius in other ways also began to struggle with schizophrenia and learned to manage it and function and eventually became a college professor.

I have PTSD and have experienced flashbacks, and they can be so real yet, I am not seeing ghosts and for the most part I remember what I am experiencing in the flashback. I have been trying to understand "what" happens in the brain when a flashback takes place.

For as much as we do know about the human brain, there is still so much we don't know.
