I've been on Celexa for years, and find it really helps with both my depression and anxiety. I take 40 mg/day. I don't find it at all sedating, so I take it in the morning, that might be something you want to try.
There are 2 downsides to Celexa. It interacts negatively with a slew of different medications, so your presctibing Dt really needs to know meds, or you need a pharmacist you can trust. The other problem is that it can cause cardiac arrhythmia. I have that as a side effect. But the med works for me, so I'm willing to make that trade-off.
