I hear you. It is very possible your actual identity was never revealed to this other client and since you didn't go to meet that person, they still have no idea who you are. I would certainly ask for clarification on that point; it would make a big difference to me as far as seeing this as bad judgement as opposed to a confidentiality breach.

Even if you identity was specifically not revealed, it is certainly skirting the edges if she told this other client she has another current client with similar issues and asked him if he was willing to speak with you.

If otherwise you have felt good about this therapist and you feel this was not done out of malice, just done with poor judgement, then get some clarification about the situation and of course make it clear that you feel your safety and privacy was violated by being mentioned to another client. If she can hear you out and you feel she recognizes what a betrayal this was to you, then you can decide if you can get past this and continue working with her.
