She "meant well". She thought and felt she knew better than you did what was good for you and took action, involving another person, conveying confidential information about you and the other person.

It's disrespectful and invalidating and I'm so sorry you had to experience this. That's why it's against the law and the guidelines, because what you are experiencing can be a result. She "should have known". I'm glad that she was helpful in the past but 10 years is a long time already. Maybe it's time for a change?
