So I figured that during the 10 month season, I work an average of 55 hours a week, which equals 2200 hours for those 10 months. Which is 1578 over a 40 hour a week work schedule.
When we get summer hours for 2 months in the summer, and go down to a 32 hour work week, I only get 64 hours back, and that's IF I actually am able to leave work on time to get the early summer hours.
I'm not sure how that is at all any kind of giving back for all the hours we put in over a regular work week. And we're all exempt, so we don't get overtime pay.
Something has got to give.
