School was a nightmare, beaten everytime I brought home a bad report card when I was younger had to attend summer school were I didn't learn anything, I then started forging my report cards when report cards were electronic then mailed to the home I would simply hide them. But it was horrible. Teachers didn't care, the grown ups didn't care, other kids didn't care. As I grew older it didn't get any better either. I was only recently diagnosed. I know about being alienated I've lived it!
I really want to ask why more attention isn't being paid to people who have adhd like they do with people who have autism.
I wish I could provide you with the best answer.
All I know from my personal experiences, is that I was labeled lazy by my parents and that when I had the diagnosis, I was accused of using it as a crutch!
That was very and still is frustrating to me.

Why people are ignorant to ADD/ADHD is because, the healthy grown ups, in my case, parents, refuse to believe that it actually exists.
Since my mother whom I cut ties with, with the help of my T's advice, is narcissistic in nature, she wants to blame all my faults at me.
She doesn't want to excuse me that my mental health condition was the key factor to many of my poor life choices.

I wish you the best.
