The last scary movie I watched was Poltergiest. A scene right at the start where the tree branch grabs the kid was right out of my childhood nightmares (Mama wasn't into curtains), and brought back all kind of memories that I'd of sooner left forgotten. Maybe people who have lived horror don't need the Hollywood version.
