It's hard to tell what's going on for you. It sounds like there's been a major shift in a lot, including how you perceive things and think about things. Your "daydreaming" served as both entertainment and an escape. Now that you are not employing "escape" as a coping mechanism, you're apt to have some anxiety. It's maybe like awakening from a long sleep and suddenly realizing all that's there before you, "stuff" that needs interaction and needs to be "dealt with." That shift is apt to bring about some anxiety.
